10-Year Limited Cabinet Warranty

Coverage

Mayfair Cabinet & Stone provides a ten (10) year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for its own regularly stocked kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities. Covered components include cabinet boxes, cabinet doors, drawer fronts, soft-close hinges and soft-close drawer slides.

Stone, countertops, appliances, sinks, faucets and other non-cabinet products are not covered. Custom orders, special-order products, non-stock items and third-party products are excluded unless Mayfair expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Products subject to a separate manufacturer's warranty are governed by that manufacturer's terms.

Eligibility and warranty period

This warranty covers the original residential consumer purchasing directly from Mayfair or through a Mayfair-authorized dealer. A contractor purchasing on a homeowner's behalf must provide records connecting the homeowner's project to the original Mayfair order.

The ten-year period begins on the invoice date of the first sale to the final residential consumer. When a builder purchases and installs cabinets in a new home for sale, coverage may pass to the first owner-occupant, but the ten-year period begins on the builder's original purchase invoice date. Coverage does not transfer to later owners of the home.

Commercial or non-residential use requires a separate written agreement from Mayfair. Purchase by a dealer or builder does not, by itself, make the final use commercial.

Available remedy

If a covered defect is confirmed, Mayfair will provide replacement parts or replace the defective product with the same product or a comparable product with equivalent functionality. Review may include purchase records, photographs and necessary inspection.

If the original product is discontinued, a similar current product may be supplied. Natural wood and finish aging may prevent an exact color or grain match. Replacement parts and products remain covered for the balance of the original warranty period; replacement does not restart the ten-year period.

Temperature, humidity and environmental conditions

Cabinets must be installed and used indoors where normal residential temperature and humidity can be maintained throughout the year. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, rain, standing water, condensation, persistent excessive heat, cold, humidity or dryness, and severe temperature or humidity fluctuations.

This warranty excludes swelling, warping, cracking, delamination, corrosion, mold or finish damage caused by leaks, flooding, standing water, repeated or prolonged moisture or steam intrusion, extreme temperature or humidity, prolonged intense sunlight or ultraviolet exposure, fire, storms, other natural disasters, or improper transportation or storage environments.

A change in weather, season, temperature or humidity does not automatically void all coverage. This exclusion applies to damage caused by the stated conditions. Unrelated defects in materials or workmanship remain subject to this warranty.

Natural wood and finish characteristics

Normal grain patterns, knots, variations in stain absorption, reasonable color variation, natural finish aging and normal seasonal wood movement are not manufacturing defects. Display samples, website photographs, installed products and replacement parts may differ naturally in color and grain.

Actual manufacturing or finishing defects are not excluded by this provision. Unusual cracking, delamination or warping must be evaluated based on its cause, the environment and inspection findings; it is not automatically excluded merely because the product contains natural wood.

Other exclusions

This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, overloading, abuse, accidents, improper cleaning, lack of proper care, improper installation, handling or storage, as well as normal wear and scratches occurring during use.

Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, refinishing or repairs is excluded. Unrelated defects do not automatically lose coverage because such work occurred. Transit damage and missing items at delivery should be reported through the applicable delivery claims process, separately from this manufacturing-defect warranty.

How to request service

Contact your original seller with proof of purchase, the order number, cabinet model and finish, installation address, a description of the issue and clear photographs. Video or additional inspection may be requested when necessary.

For dealer or contractor purchases, the original seller should help connect the claim to the Mayfair order and submit it to Mayfair. If the original seller is no longer in business or cannot be reached, contact Mayfair through the Contact page at mayfaircs.com with the available records.

Mayfair will review the order and reported defect, communicate its decision and reasons, and arrange an eligible replacement. Availability and delivery timing depend on parts inventory and transportation arrangements. Do not return or discard parts awaiting inspection without return authorization.

Costs and limitations

The remedy under this voluntary warranty is limited to replacement parts or products. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, it does not cover labor, removal, installation, reinstallation, shipping or transportation, project delays, property damage, or incidental, indirect, special or consequential losses.

This warranty does not exclude or restrict rights or liabilities that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or restricted. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so those limitations may not apply to you. You may have other legal rights that vary by state.

Additional terms

No dealer, installer, contractor or representative may independently expand or modify this warranty. Any additional commitment must be issued in writing by an authorized Mayfair representative.
